I made this engraving some time ago for my "art" class of the high school. I was against clock and I wasn't decided about what to do ...so I did the obvious..a dragon!! what else? haha a "Shen-Long" type dragon.
Awesome engraving. It's a very difficult media, but you've captured the texture nicely. I also like the shape the dragon makes; did you use a reference?

It reminds me of a French Canadian tennis racket, stuck to the back of a Venus snow-goon, bubbling out of my sister's Brazilian donkey - I don't think I can make myself any clearer! -- Fred Randall
thanks a lot!! and yeah, the engraving is a pain in the ass ....especially when you cut off some part of your finger hahaha!! and my only reference/inspiration was Shen-Long (dragonball) but the shape and all the design are mine.
I always found it harder to control the knife thing and not slice something on the board I wanted to keep. XD But you did an awesome job, especially since no reference was used. This is by far the best work in your gallery.

Well I did the tracing with pencil on the board and then I start to carving it. but with a fine knife isn't that difficult...the only tricky thing is the when you use excess of force when carving some "harder" parts and then the disaster happens hehe. I don't know if this is my best work but at least is the most exotic, by the technique. thanks a lot for your comments I apreciate it so much!!
